Developers have started to include the NXE update in upcoming games, two confirmed games with the update included on disc are ; Tom Clancys:H.A.W.X, and MLB: 2K9.  This means that everyone who plays a new game, and is not connected to Live will have to update to the NXE to play. The new discs also contain a new “Wave 3″ video partition, which looks like it was designed to counter piracy, as current methods of playing backups will not allow the new discs to boot. A step in the right direction, or minor bump in the road for pirates?

I still wish there was an option to have the old blade interface, I miss it. *sadface*

actually it’ll just stop modders from playing online.. wont stop the game from booting if Live is not connected…

Actually, the modders have already cracked it and are going to release their results in a few days

Microsoft should really stop this trashness! and allow us to use XBMC on the damn 360.

    Get your facts straight!

This is not an anti- piracy measurement, it’s just a new video partition that also contains the NXE update.
They had to place it in the video partition because it’s over 120MB big, previous updates were only 7MB or so.

BTW current methods do alllow the new games to run, but it’s not recommended to use those methods. Updates to the ’safe’ methods should arrive this week.
