Bionic Commando Poor Sales

Bionic Commando and Terminator Salvation have both failed to reach significant sales in May this year.

Both games which were developed by GRIN were released in the US on 19th May for Xbox 360 and PS3, but by the end of May (30th) Terminator Salvation is best out of the two which sold 43,000 units and Bionic Commando has only sold 27,000 units, very poor indeed.

This new remake of Bionic Commando which is based on the 1980’s side-scroller could end up being Capcom’s first title in the disappointment pile of high definition gaming, having previously successfully launched great titles such as Lost Planet, Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry 4, Dead Rising and Street Fighter IV.

Capcom announced that Bionic Commando Rearmed, a Xbox LIVE Arcade/PSN/PC remake of the original game (which was released in 1980), achieved sales of more than 130,000 in its first week back in August 2008. It looks like they should just keep to Arcade titles.
