Square Enix have released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII, and as can be expected with SE, the trailer is packed with cutscenes.  Still….it’s pretty darn gorgeous.  Enjoy.

Bayonetta Demo Shoots Onto Live Next Week

Sega has announced a demo for Bayonetta will be hitting Live next week, on the 3rd to be precise.

A demo for the much anticipated third person action title BAYONETTA will be released on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network in the US and across Europe on December 3rd.

BAYONETTA has achieved a perfect score of 10/10 in EDGE magazine in the UK, becoming only the 11th game to do so in the magazine’s history since its first issue in 1993.

BAYONETTA was also recently reviewed by Japan’s most respected games magazine Weekly Famitsu, achieving a perfect score of 40/40 for Xbox 360 and 38/40 for PlayStation 3, with both scores garnering a Platinum award. BAYONETTA is only the 12th game ever to receive a perfect score in the magazine’s history since its first issue in 1986.

BAYONETTA is set for release in the US on January 5th and across Europe on January 8th 2010 on Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. BAYONETTA was released in Japan on October 29th.

There are 3 special offers this week for Gold subscribers, and they’re actually pretty good.  First off the bat is Peggle which has been reduced to a paltry 400MSP, and with the Nights expansion that recently released, you can grab both for 800MSP.  Bargain.  Next up is the See The Future DLC for Fable 2, which has been knocked down to 400MSP.  Finally Death Tank has been reduced from 1200MSP to 800.

Forgive me gaming gods, for I have sinned…I think.  Let me set this straight, I personally don’t see my “sins” as anything bad, maybe just a little strange.  I’m sure all gamers have atleast committed some of the same naughties that I have.  Let me explain.

Oh gaming Gods, I am a sinner. I have never really thought about my wrong doings but I have always known that I have had them. As I have aged it has occurred to me that I have become more ‘snooty’ towards certain genres, games and even consoles.

Axel And Pixel Review

I was in heaven back in the early 90s. Back then, adventure games were running rampant and providing the best entertainment. Recently, we’ve been reintroduced to the genre with the amazing Sam and Max series and Monkey Island games. Now, I know that adventure games aren’t FPS or even open world RPG games, but they do provide an excellent distraction to the bevy of cookie cutter shooters. When I heard about Axel and Pixel, a new IP from Silver Wish Games and 2K Play, I wanted to check it out. More so than any other genre, it’s hard to break into adventure games. Unfortunately, it’s when the game attempts to mix other genres into the gameplay that the game starts to break down and become confused.
